Scrap demand continued to stutter in Turkey, despite mills needing to complete January-shipment cargo purchases, with participants searching for a confirmation of the floor for pricing. Indian scrap imports remained sluggish as local mills preferred to use domestic DRI or scrap. Vietnam kept buying hot rolled coil from China, but the deals were seen as very risky given China-origin product is under anti-dumping investigation in Vietnam and could be levied with duties.
