Zenith starts wire rod line construction
Major eastern Chinese steelmaker Zenith Steel has started the upgrade of the No.5 high-speed wire rod mill at its No.8 rolling plant. The upgraded mill is due to commission in January 2022, Kallanish notes.
Zenith decided to upgrade this line in June 2019 and plans to invest CNY 160 million ($24.75m). It will be able to produce high-speed wire rod with a diameter of 12-26mm and rebar in coil with a diameter of 16-42mm, reaching a total 780,000 tonnes/year of …
