Zaporizhstal’s February output declines amid Russia-Ukraine war

Ukrainian flat steel producer Zaporizhstal, partially owned by Metinvest, decreased crude steel production in January-February, the company says. It produced 642,700 tonnes, down by 1.4% on-year, Kallanish notes. However, pig iron output increased by 0.9% to 757,900t, while rolled steel production fell 8.7% to 502,400t.
