Zaporizhstal continues to decrease output in June
Ukrainian flat steel producer Zaporizhstal, partially owned by Metinvest, saw crude steel production decrease in June compared with the previous month.
It produced 236,700 tonnes of crude steel, down by 1.5% on-month but up 48.5% on-year, Kallanish notes. June pig iron output decreased by 1.3% on-month, but was 0.2% more on-year at 237,000t. Rolled steel production fell 10.3% on-month, but was 38.7% more on-year to 183,000t.
