Zaporizhkoks increases coke output sequentially in May
Ukraine’s Zaporizhkoks plant, part of Metinvest, increased production of blast furnace coke in May by 4.5% on-month to 75,700 tonnes. This was also up 3.6% on-year, Kallanish notes.
The plant’s output in April was 72,100t, down by 2.4% on-month, but this was up 1.1% on-year.
January-May production of blast furnace coke thus rose 1.9% on-year to almost 362,700t.
