Yaxin restarts blast furnace
China’s Yaxin Iron & Steel Company in Henan province plans to restart one of three 630-cubic-metre blast furnaces following an overhaul in May, according to local media reports monitored by Kallanish.
The blast furnace was banked last December, and started production again in March because of high steel prices. But it went into another overhaul when prices began to fall again in May.
