Worthington posts a profit, as it reins in costs
Service centre group and fabricator Worthington Industries turned a profit during its fiscal first quarter, but the company remains in a cost-cutting mode to deal with a challenging market.
Kallanish learns from a company statement that Worthington posted a net profit of $31.4 million on sales of $758.1 million for the quarter ended 31 August. Last fiscal year, the Columbus, Ohio, company posted a net profit of $44.2 million on sales of $862.4 million.
