Whitehaven profits surge on coal boom
Australian coal miner Whitehaven Coal posted record profits in the financial year ending June 2017 on the back of surging coking coal prices. The company plans to further increase the share of coking coal it sells in order to boost its profitability over the medium term, Kallanish notes.
