Weglokoks could challenge heavy plate mill auction loss
Polish coal exporter and steel re-roller Weglokoks could challenge the decision by the Katowice regional court to approve the winning bid of its rival in the auction for Walcownia Blach Grubych Batory (WBG).
The idled heavy plate mill was acquired this week by Chorzow-based steel stockist Moris, which submitted a bid of PLN 26 million ($6.4m) in the public auction. This was higher than the bid tabled by Weglokoks investment vehicle Euroserwis 2.
