Weglokoks acquires Polish heavy plate mill
Weglokoks has acquired Walcownia Blach Grubych Batory (WBG) privately, beating off competition from three other interested firms, according to local media reports.
Last month the Polish coal exporter proposed negotiations with WBG’s administrator over buying the idled heavy plate re-roller privately after it failed for the second time to sell at auction (see Kallanish 29 April).
