Weglokoks abandons Ferrum takover, continues WBG restart work
Poland’s largest coal exporter, Weglokoks, has abandoned its plan to acquire a majority shareholding in Ferrum, Kallanish learns from the welded pipemaker.
This is due to the rejection by one of Ferrum’s shareholders of a proposal to raise the pipemaker’s capital by issuing shares with pre-emptive rights. The two firms signed a letter of intent for the acquisition in April (see Kallanish 14 April).
