Webco sees big profit jump in fiscal Q2
Specialty tubing manufacturer Webco Industries saw its fiscal second-quarter profits quadruple year on year, Kallanish reports.
Webco earned $8.4 million on sales of $111m in the quarter ended 31 January, up from a profit of $2.2m on sales of $91.6m in fiscal Q2 2017.
In addition to improved volume, ceo Dana Weber attributes the increase to a more favourable tax situation as a result of the reforms pushed through earlier in the year by President Donald Trump.…
