Webco profits rise in fiscal first quarter
US specialty tubing manufacturer Webco Industries posted a profit of $3 million in its fiscal first quarter, up from just $700,000 in fiscal Q1 2016, Kallanish reports.
Webco saw gains in both pricing and volume during the quarter, which ceo Dana Weber attributes to an on-going mechanical tubing case (see related story). Sales in Q1 totaled $114.3m, up 29.4% year on year.
