Oil, weak boost EU steel use, market waits on China rebate impact: Irepas
EU steel end-use industries could perform better than forecast thanks to lower oil prices and the weak euro, but global energy sector steel demand has already begun to suffer, the International Rebar Producers and Exporters Association (Irepas) says in its January short-range outlook. The impact of the removal of Chinese steel export rebates, meanwhile, should be confirmed in the coming weeks.
