Weak demand, sliding steel prices pressure Turkish scrap
Most Turkish mills have kept their domestic scrap buying prices unchanged since last week, although imported scrap values continued to fall. A few mills even increased their prices to offset the weakening lira.
No imported scrap bookings were heard on Wednesday, while Turkey's demand for scrap remained lacklustre.
