Walsin Indonesia to produce first nickel pig iron
PT Walsin Nickel Industrial Indonesia (WNII) powered up its No.37 electric furnace on Wednesday. It is expected to start producing nickel pig iron on 31 January. Its No.38 furnace is scheduled to follow with production ten days later, Kallanish notes.
The No.41 furnace, which is part of the Ferrosilicon Smelting Department of the plant in Tsingshan Industrial Park, Indonesia, will also be put into production on 30 January.
