Waelzholz to source low-carbon steel from thyssenkrupp
German cold-roller Waelzholz, as part of its course towards climate-friendly production, will source CO2-reduced steel from thyssenkrupp, Kallanish learns from the steelmaker group.
Hagen-based Waelzholz and thyssenkrupp Hohenlimburg, also located in Hagen and specialising in medium-wide sizes, have signed a memorandum of understanding to supply CO2-reduced “Bluemint” steel from 2023 onwards, thyssenkrupp says.
