Volumes triple, prices fall for LME scrap/rebar contracts
The London Metal Exchange (LME) saw both the number of lots and tonnage volumes rise month-on-month in its scrap and rebar contracts in May, the exchange tells Kallanish. Scrap volumes traded nearly tripled from those in April, whilst those for rebar more than tripled, albeit from a low base in the previous month. Average prices dipped on-month for both contracts.
