voestalpine Tubulars starts up new heat treatment line
voestalpine Tubulars has commissioned a new heat treatment line and a hot tube straightening machine supplied by Germany’s SMS group.
The line at the works in Kindberg-Aumühl, Styria, Austria, is designed for seamless tubes with outside diameters of between 60.3-273.0mm. It can process steel grades with alloying contents of up to approximately 20%, and has a maximum capacity of 25 tonnes/hour, Kallanish learns from the plantbuilder.
