Voestalpine, S+B underplay Section 232 threat
Austria and Switzerland’s main steelmakers, voestalpine and Schmolz+Bickenbach group, say that duties imposed by order of US president Trump on steel imports would hurt only 3% of their direct sales of products made in Europe. In S+B’s case, this affects mostly speciality products from Deutsche Edelstahlwerke in Germany and Ugitech in France.
