Vietnamese HRC imports lift slightly on Chinese uptick
Chinese mills raised their export prices at the end of last week in tandem with the improved Chinese domestic market, Kallanish notes. Offers for Chinese SAE 1006 2-2.5mm thickness HRC were raised by $10/tonne on-week to $605-620/t cfr Vietnam.
A trader sold 2,000 tonnes of SAE coil at $598/t cfr, a Vietnamese trader reports. Earlier in the week, 20,000t from the same mill was contracted only to a leading reroller at $593/t cfr, traders say.
