Vietnam coated sheet imports surge into US
US hot-dipped galvanized sheet imports appear to have ticked up in September, primarily due to a general increase in coated products from Vietnam.
The US issued licenses for 246,399 tonnes of galvanized sheet in September, up from August’s tally of 233,149t, according to the US Department of Commerce.
Licenses for Vietnamese product, however, jumped to 49,166t in September from August’s 22,736t.
