Vedanta denies joint Essar bid with JSW Steel
Vedanta has confirmed it is not in the process of submitting any revised bid for insolvent Essar Steel. This follows media reports earlier this week suggesting the miner was in talks with JSW Steel for a last-minute joint bid.
JSW Steel chairman Sajjan Jindal, meanwhile, told CNBC TV18 that JSW Steel is not planning to make a fresh bid for Essar Steel, either independently or with Vedanta.
