Vale's May iron ore exports increase on-month
Brazilian miner Vale saw iron ore exports improve month-on-month in May, Kallanish notes. Shipments, however, remained weaker on-year.
According to Sindicato Nacional da Indústria da Extração de Ferro e Metais Básicos (Sinferbase)’s latest data, Vale’s exports of iron ore in May were 18.47 million tonnes, up 10.1% over April but 3.85mt less year-on-year. Five-month shipments reached 81mt, down 20.4% compared to 101.7mt …
