Vale, Usiminas partially resume iron ore operations
Brazil’s Vale and Usinas Siderúrgicas de Minas Gerais say they have gradually resumed activities in Minas Gerais state following the heavy rains that hit the region last week, Kallanish notes.
Vale estimates an impact of approximately 1.5 million tonnes for iron ore production and third-party purchases. The miner, however, reiterates its production guidance of 320-335mt for 2022.
