Vale requests deadline extension to remove upstream dams
Brazil’s Vale has asked national mining agency ANM and Minas Gerais state environmental authority Feam to extend deadlines to conclude the decommissioning process at 23 of its upstream method dams, the miner tells Kallanish.
The request was made as it has become impossible to meet the deadlines due to the actions necessary to ensure safety in the face of the complexity of the works.
