Vale completes Fernandinho dam decommissioning
Brazil's Vale says that it has completed the decommissioning of the Fernandinho dam at the Abóboras Mine in Vargem Grande Complex. The company also completed the construction of the downstream containment structure that serves the Forquilhas I, II, III, IV and Grupo dams of Itabirito and Ouro Preto, near the Fábrica Mine. All structures are still pending evaluation by the Brazilian authorities, Kallanish learns from Vale.
