Vale completes decommissioning of three dams
Brazil’s Vale says it has completed the decommissioning of three dams in Minas Gerais state. Since the Brumadinho dam failure in January 2019, Vale has eliminated 12 structures, five in 2022, Kallanish notes.
“With the completion of the works, the company managed to remove almost 40% of its 30 structures of this type,” Vale explains.
