USW votes to strike at Evraz Regina
The United Steelworkers (USW) at Evraz Regina Steel have authorized a strike to break a deadlock in their contract negotiations, Kallanish reports.
Union members voted 99.3% in favour of a strike due to the steelmaker’s “...extreme concessionary demands,” the union says. Union members have been without a contract since July.
