USW praises trade case on China alloy exports
The United Steelworkers (USW) is lauding a move by the US Trade Representative (USTR) to force China to obey World Trade Organization (WTO) rules and lift some of its export limits, Kallanish learns from a union release.
The USTR is alleging that China is restricting exports of antimony, cobalt, copper, graphite, lead, magnesia, talc, tantalum and tin – materials used as both alloying agents for steel and in downstream products.
