USW, IOC sign deal, end strike
The United Steelworkers labour union has signed a new five-year deal with the Iron Ore Company of Canada, Kallanish reports.
The deal’s ratification ends a nine-week strike. About 1,300 USW members in locals 5795 and 6731 will return to work over the next several days, the union says in a statement.
