USW, ATI find some common ground on healthcare
Progress is being made in the negotiations between the United Steelworkers labour union and Allegheny Technologies Inc, according to a union update.
In the presence of a federal mediator, the union and ATI reached a limited understanding regarding healthcare costs. The company will no longer push for employees to pay premiums as long as overall future health care costs are capped.
