Usiminas to revamp Ipatinga`s BF No. 3 in 2022
Brazilian steelmaker Usiminas will begin a revamp of blast furnace number 3 at its Ipatinga plant in Minas Gerais state in mid-2022. The decision has been approved by the steelmaker's board of directors, the company says in statement monitored by Kallanish.
“The BF3 will continue to operate normally until mid-2022, when the upgrade will be initiate,” the steelmaker adds.
