Usiminas to restart Ipatinga`s BF No. 2 in 2021
Brazilian steelmaker Usiminas will restart operations of blast furnace No. 2 at its Ipatinga plant in Minas Gerais state in mid-2021. The decision has been approved by the steelmaker's board of directors, the company says in a statement monitored by Kallanish.
"The return of the operations of the BF2, which is expected to occur on 1 June 2021, shall have a capital expenditure of approximately BRL 67 million ($13.4 million)," the steelmaker says. The …
