Usiminas sees steel production slip in third quarter
Brazilian steelmaker Usinas Siderúrgicas de Minas Gerais (Usiminas) saw its crude steel and rolled products output decrease slightly year-on-year in the third quarter. Iron ore production, however, showed positive performance during the period, the company says in its latest earnings report monitored by Kallanish.
