Usiminas resumes blast furnace, reaches full production capacity
Brazilian steelmaker Usiminas says it has returned to full capacity with the restart of operations at blast furnace No. 2 at its Ipatinga plant in Minas Gerais state. The resumption was completed on 14 June, the company says in a statement monitored by Kallanish. BF2 was halted for almost 14 months.
