Usiminas delays blast furnace revamp at Ipatinga
Brazilian steelmaker Usiminas says that has postponed its planned revamp of blast furnace number 3 at the Ipatinga plant in Minas Gerais state. The decision was approved by the steelmaker's directors on 27 November, the company says in a statement monitored by Kallanish.
“The Board has approved a 12-month postponement for the revamp of the Blast Furnace 3. Thus, the facility will continue to operate normally until mid-2022,” Usiminas says. N…
