Usiminas crude steel production falls in 2020
Brazilian steelmaker Usinas Siderúrgicas de Minas Gerais (Usiminas) saw annual crude steel production decrease in 2020. Finished products output also fell, Usiminas says in its quarterly report monitored by Kallanish.
Crude steel production totalled 2.76 million tonnes in 2020, -15.4% lower compared to 3.26mt in 2019. Rolled products output in the period amounted to 3.69mt, down by -9.1% year-on-year.
