Fire fails to affect Usiminas Ipatinga production
Production at the coke plant of Brazilian steelmaker Usiminas in Ipatinga has not been affected after a conveyor belt caught fire on 15 December, Kallanish learns from the company.
The fire was extinguished within one hour. It is understood that no one was harmed in the incident and there was no production impact as a consequence. The cause is being investigated, Usiminas says.
