Usiminas, CSN to mothball blast furnaces, unions
Brazil’s largest flat steelmaker Usinas Siderúrgicas de Minas Gerais (Usiminas) has confirmed its intention to shut down the meltshop at its Cubatao mill in Sao Paulo state, Kallanish learns from local union sources. The steelmaker is expected to continue rolling, sources in the industry reveal.
