US weekly raw steel production ticks up
Weekly raw steel production in the US for the week ended 22 June was 1.710 million short tons with a capacity utilisation rate of 77.0%, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute. Raw steel production increased by 0.4% week-on-week. In the week ended 15 June, raw production was 1.704m st and utilisation was 76.7%.
The latest figure represents a 1.6% decrease from the equivalent period of 2023 when production was 1.738m st, and utilisation was 77.…
