US to conduct anticircumvention inquiry on stainless wire
North American Stainless has asked the US Department of Commerce to investigate the alleged circumvention of import duties on stainless steel wire products.
Commerce will now initiate an inquiry to determine if stainless wire imports from Vietnam were made using material from South Korea and were then subject to minor alterations, effectively skirting the antidumping duties on Korean product.
The agency will announce the results of its inquiry in November.
