US Steel, ArcelorMittal begin contract slog with USW
The United Steelworkers labour union has opened contract negotiations with both ArcelorMittal and US Steel, Kallanish reports.
A spokeswoman for US Steel confirmed that negotiations began 10 July for the company's Gary Works in Gary, Indiana.
"As with previous contract negotiations, we hope to come to a mutually agreeable conclusion," says spokeswoman Meghan Cox.
