US stainless bar makers wary of import levels
US stainless bar producers are becoming concerned with the growing market share of foreign product, Kallanish reports.
At a recent industry conference, Universal Stainless & Alloy Products ceo Dennis Oates said stainless bar imports now enjoy a market share of more than 55%. Most products originate in Italy, Taiwan, German and India.
