US slump drags down Turkish coated coil exports
Turkish exports of coated sheet under HS code heading 7210 fell -24% on-year in June to 68,287 tonnes, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish.
The most-exported product by far was hot-dip galvanized coil whose shipments slumped -35% to 47,522t. Their average price, however, rose to $786.7/tonne from $730.9/t a year earlier.
The decline in shipments was due mainly to an -80% slump in exports to the US to 6,623t.
