US sheet prices continue their 2024 plunge
Prices of hot and cold rolled coil continue to tumble in the US domestic market.
This week HRC has descended to $750-800/short ton and CRC is down to $1,120-1,150/st, Kallanish reports. Last week HRC was $800-900/st and CRC stood at $1,150-1,250/st.
An Ohio Valley distributor says the coil market is very volatile.
“The market is crazy and it pays to work with the market rather than against it,” says the distributor.
