US sheet players see more circumvention cases ahead
The US Department of Commerce’s decision to punish Vietnam for using Chinese substrate for its downstream flat products has likely set a precedent for similar value-added trade cases, market sources tell Kallanish.
“India could be next,” says one service centre source. “I would say any country that buys substrate from a country with an anti-dumping or countervailing duty order and converts it has a problem.”
