US takes in less LatAm steel in 2019
Latin American exports of steel products to the US fell year-on-year during 2019. These were also down in December alone, according to preliminary data issued by the US Census Bureau, monitored by Kallanish. Latin America in this context includes South and Central American countries together with Mexico.
Latin American steel product exports to the US were 7,447,940 tonnes in 2019. This volume was almost -5.0% down on-year, or 395,426t less than in 2018. …
