US SEC recommends potential probe of Vale
Brazil's Vale confirms that it has received a formal notice from the US Securities and Exchange Commission regarding its preliminary determination to recommend a potential probe into the miner.
The SEC says that Vale violated US securities laws with disclosures about its dam safety management and the Brumadinho accident, which killed 270 people in January 2019.
