US SEC sues Vale over Brumadinho disclosures
The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has filed suit against Brazil’s Vale, alleging that certain Vale disclosures violated US securities laws. Vale tells Kallanish it denies all allegations and will “vigorously” defend the case.
“The lawsuit focuses on disclosures related to our dam safety management previous to the tragic accident in Brumadinho in Minas Gerais State in January 2019,” Vale explains.
